Now of course I’m not going to disclose THE dress that I do decide to buy…but I wanted to write a post of just the overall process of shopping & where my mind is taking me right now as far as styles….what I wind up picking may be totally different from what I have in my head…but these are the styles I’m going for nonetheless.

Being that our wedding is going to be a Winter Evening Wedding…I think this Bride deserves a little pouf & a little sparkle…not too much…but just enough to give off a little glitter when I twirl.

I’ve never really been one for big ballroom type of dresses, but for someone reason I want to feel like the princess Jeff makes me feel like on a daily basis. I want my skirt to twirl during our first dance & I want my dress to make an entrance so to speak.

I have my first dress appointment with my mom on the 21st. We plan on going to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa & a small bridal boutique in Merrick called Moonlight Couture just cause it’s on the way & I always pass it when I’m at work.

My mom told me she has envisioned me in something special & different…but what that is I don’t know. What I DO know is that because my mom has worked in the fashion & celebrity industry for the majority of her life she’s seem some pretty amazing gowns and styles. I trust her taste implicitly & wouldn’t even dream of not hearing her out as to which dress I should pick. She’s absolutely my fashion guru & why would such an important decision be any different.

New Vera Wang

When I heard the news I couldn’t be more excited. Vera Wang has designed a line for David’s Bridal! The wedding dresses by David’s Bridal are not only whimsical & elegant but extremely affordable. Who said getting a high end designer’s dress had to cost you fortunes. Her new “WHITE” line is absolutely stunning. Every bride should be able to say they wore a Vera Wang at her wedding. Dresses range from $600 – $1300.

Check out their site or visit a nearby location & view the new designs by Vera Wang at David’s Bridal.

The newest trend…sassy…chic…and short! I came to love this new trend more & more as I visited one of my favorite wedding dress designers…Priscilla of Boston.

There is such attention to detail to the dresses & every year I feel like the dresses reinvent themselves providing the bride with a fresh new look & start! I just wanted to feature some of my favorite wedding dresses from the site.

So you have the dress…now what to pair it with?…Personally, stylistically I would pair it with bright & bold shoes, sends that pop to the dress.

Just a few more minor details & you are ready to walk down the isle…Another new trend is birdcage veils…I simply adore them & think they look great coupled with short wedding dresses.

So there you have it, a complete look that I would recommend for my brides…and actually myself!

Who said that you have to break the bank to look fabulous on your wedding day? BCBGMaxazria just came out with their chic bridal dresses that cost under $500…now that’s an incredible steal! A fabulous designer catering to bridal demands without the high costs that are out there is a wonderful treat & great find! Thank you BCBG for giving the masses a choice without compromising style!

I love dresses. Short ones, long ones, asymmetrical ones…love them all. 2008 Fall Wedding Dress lines are filled with creative & eye catching designs. So what are the trends…Lets take a look:

Short Dresses – I love these dresses. They totally say chic, modern, daring and youthful. These dresses would be a great style to pick for the reception. Choose something a little more classic for the ceremony, then tear up the dance floor with a flirty design.

Colorful – These dresses are very non-traditional. A colored dress definitely says “look at me”. However, these fall 2008 style as colorful but subtle in their own way. A bold bride needs to have a bold look. I say go for it and turn some heads.

Floral Accent – I think this look is extremely romantic. It’s soft and delicate and portrays a true lady. Check out some of these pretty dresses with accent flowers.
