Thank you Intimate Weddings for writing this post on this wonderful bite-size brownie idea. I had to share it with my readers!

{images & recipe: intimate weddings, pan: wilton}

Here is how to do it!

1. Purchase all sorts of decorations, maybe stuck to just the color palette you are having for you event. Your favorite kind of chocolate that you want to melt {white, dark, milk} & don’t forget the cookie sticks!

2. Purchase your favorite brownie mix or use the following recipe:

Barb’s  Brownies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1/2 cup butter (I use salted butter.)

2 scant cups brown sugar

2 eggs

1 cup flour

5 dessert spoons cocoa

1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter and add sugar. Cream well. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add salt and vanilla. Mix in flour and cocoa.

3.  Spray mold with vegetable oil & fill 2/3 the way up.

4. Bake for 30 minutes @ 350 degrees. But check to make sure they aren’t burning. Wilton states 15-20 minutes. Stick a toothpick inside & see if it comes clean after 15 minutes & gauge.

5. Once done, please them on a rack to cool. While that’s getting done, melt your chocolate & prepare the decorations in little dishes to create an assembly line. Cut your sticks to the appropriate size if needed.

6. Once cool, dip a stick into chocolate and then insert it in the middle of the brownie bite {make sure you don’t poke through the other end}. Then dip the bite into your favorite chocolate flavor & decorations!

It’s that simple & I definitely plan on making these for the next house party I plan on throwing.

Ideas for presentation:

  • Fill a jar with your favorite candy, or preferred candy & stick them inside & place on the table.
  • A simple plate sprinkled with one of the decorations you used & place the brownie bites facing down {sticks up} on the plate.
  • Buy clear favor bags and place 3 bites per bag & tie with your favorite ribbon as a favor or as a giveaway for your party.

Thanks again Intimate Weddings for the wonderful idea…And for any readers who need more insight to the process, please visit their site for a more detailed explanation.

Winter.Beach.Dreams

It’s very cold in NY today…a blistering 24 degrees & so to bring myself to a warm & wonderful place I decided to create a board inspired by my favorite flower, type of wedding & possibly how I would stylize mine…On this cold day I’m having beach dreams…hope this brings you there…

Guest.Hotel.Goodies

As a Wedding Planner my clients are always asking me about ways they can honor their guests if they are traveling. The answer is usually Goodies Bags left at the Hotels the guests are staying at. As someone who has also been on the other side and received a bag upon check-in it’s really appreciated and quite a treat….I mean who doesn’t like to come back to the hotel room and maybe after a few cocktails have a little midnight snack?

But one of the hardest parts is figuring out what to put in those bags…and how to possibly package them…and maybe a novel little trinket that your guests will remember their visit to a specific area. Well…Sara’s Gracious Goodies takes all the guessing work out of this detail for brides. Not only does she couple great snacks & beverages together…but she also does themed bags that can represent a great city such as New York (and it’s not because this is where I’m from & reside)…or a winter wedding!

And don’t think it’s just snacks that you’ll get in these goodie packages…one of my favorite ones is the NYC Treat, which includes 2 Lil Poland Spring Waters , Weekly edition of NY Magazine , NYC Traffic Treats, I LOVE NY Chocolates, Large Black and White Cookie , Kettle Korn Popcorn from The Hampton Popcorn Factory & Chocolate Chip Cookies from Tates Bakery…And they can be packaged inside your choice of a Map Tote (Queens, Bronx, NYC, Manhattan or Brooklyn)…How much more NYC can you get!? Fabulous and your guests will absolutely love it!

Her ideas bring a little more of a high end quality & representation to the classic hotel guest bag. Prices for the goodies range from $10 – $38 per package & then $10 per tote. However, if you don’t want to pay for the tote, atleast you can purchase the goodies and go with a less expensive route of a colorful paper bag from PaperMart (a great wholesale priced supplies store).

Great find…and great bargain…without the hassle!

MyWeddingWorkbook.Organizer

Whether you’re a bride or a wedding consultant, planning a wedding is never an easy job (even though for most it’s certainly a labor of love). But now there are a few new Web-based tools that can help both more easily manage details and stay on top of their events.
My Wedding Workbook is an online wedding software for engaged couples that’s easy-to-use, comprehensive and lets bride and groom manage their budgets, guest lists, calendars and details for every wedding-related event – from the engagement party and bridal shower through the ceremony and reception to the honeymoon. And because its basic planning tools are free, it has become one very popular Web-based wedding planner with brides.
Not only does it provide tools for consultants to manage their contacts, vendors and calendar, but it provides comprehensive tools to manage any wedding event and provides a wealth of reports to help planners stay orgainzed. With packages starting at $19/month, it offers something for every size of business. And as an added bonus, consultants are able to share areas of the software with their clients to review details with them.
There are very few software out there that I would promote but I’ve been extremely impressed with what they offer. So if you need some organization that you can bring with you wherever you have internet access or a computer, MyWeddingWorkbook & MyWeddingWorkbookPro is a software & site that you have to check out.
