DIY.Hungry.Bride

From time to time I like to showcase products and services from different wedding venders. It’s all about spreading the L.O.V.E as far as I’m concerned when it comes to the wedding industry.

This week I am going to showcase some wedding supplies from Factory Direct Craft…for your ultimate DIY bride, here is a site that offers all those details in a one stop shop. Maybe you want to take pride in putting together a beach themed wedding with little details here & there.

This location has all sorts of goodies…Check them out…you never know how you will be inspired…or what items you may realize you forgot to buy…

Creative.Wedding.Invitation

Lets step outside of the box for a little bit…do you have a friend who’s creative & has a good HD Videocamera…or do you have a bit of a budget to hire a videographer to create your wedding invitation! Huh….a videographer creating your wedding invitation…Well that’s what this couple did.

Instead of doing the expected wedding invitation why not step outside the box and do a video…Check out this Wedding Invitation that I found on Vimeo…It’s a brilliant concept…

I.Am.Inspired

I am often inspired by color palettes…to the extent that I think I have my heart set on a color palette & scheme for MY wedding one day…I am official inspired and look forward to creating a vintage chic blue/green wedding one day…Check out my two inspirational boards…

Here are a few color palette inspirations as well that I know I want to use:

Last year I did a lovely wedding at Crest Hollow Country Club and this is the video montage of that beautiful day. This client wedding of mine was also featured on Style Me Pretty Blog…{click here}…

Who said that you have to spend a fortune to represent your love & commitment to each other? I was recently online looking for alternatives to engagement & wedding bands and came across these sparkling alternatives. Prices range from $100 to $3,000 for some of their heavier carat rings.

ShopNBC has expanded their scope of products to these diamond rings. So I started digging around their site and found some really great finds…who said a diamond ring was the only way to go? Jewelry trends are actually moving away from the standard diamond solitaire engagement rings & encouraging color!

So check out their unique sparklers…and make someone smile! Or even better…treat yourself to some bling…there is never anything wrong with spoiling yourself from time to time.

Priscilla.Does.Affordable

One of my favorite designers Priscilla of Boston has decided to make some of their fantastic dresses more affordable for the average bride on a budget. Their styles are ever changing and keeping up with the trends. They have a timeless feel but not old fashioned.

Check out these wedding dresses by Priscilla of Boston that will turn heads as you walk down the aisle and won’t bust your budget as they are all under $2000!

WeddingWire.Review.NEW!

It always warms my heart when my clients review my services…I get a knot in my throat with excitement & satisfaction as I read…thank you once again Lindsey & Peri for yet again validating WHY I love planning weddings so much…your words touched me!

By: Lindsey & Peri – Wedding 3/5/2011 @ the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, NY {Click Link to direct you to Wedding Wire Review}

Laura was amazing! At first my family was not 100% convinced we needed a planner/coordinator and kept telling me it was unnecessary, and then during and after the wedding, every member of my family thanked me for hiring Laura because the wedding would have been a logistical disaster without her! She helped with everything from organizing our ceremony and making sure everything was set up perfectly and according to our vision, to helping giving out our payment envelopes and helping us plan our surprise first dance. She was extremely professional and fun to be with all day, but also kept everything running smoothly and kept everyone in line! Laura really made it so my mom and I were able to enjoy the entire wedding without having to worry about anything. I am so thankful that I hired her, and have already recommended her to a bunch of my engaged friends! Laura clearly loves everything about weddings and it shows…she is excellent at what she does!

When I heard the news I couldn’t be more excited. Vera Wang has designed a line for David’s Bridal! The wedding dresses by David’s Bridal are not only whimsical & elegant but extremely affordable. Who said getting a high end designer’s dress had to cost you fortunes. Her new “WHITE” line is absolutely stunning. Every bride should be able to say they wore a Vera Wang at her wedding. Dresses range from $600 – $1300.

Check out their site or visit a nearby location & view the new designs by Vera Wang at David’s Bridal.

There is nothing like being featured on a fellow Wedding Vendor’s site as the ultimate form of flattery. The Wedding industry is vast and I’m always looking for a little recognition when it comes to my work. So today we were featured on Event Logo House Blog! Check out the write up on VOW Wedding Consulting my Wedding Planning Business.

I’ve worked with Event Logo House and their work is creative…special & unique…Stay tuned for a post on their services and their creative talents!

Montauk.Destination.Wedding

My journey started over a year ago…to create a sunkist beachy & vibrant wedding for my clients Marissa & Paul. Location, Gurney’s Inn in Montauck, NY…I was also tasked to create a look for the rehearsal dinner which would be held the night before at Gurney’s but on a tented deck overlooking the ocean…

Marissa & Paul were some of my favorite clients that I’ve had the privilege to work with…open to ideas that I threw at them…and allowed for my creative talents to really kick in. This was by far one of my favorite weddings that I’ve planned soup to nuts…and here are a few highlights of their destination wedding in Montauk…

Laura was our saving grace throughout the entire planning process! Although I am a VERY organized person, I have obviously never been married before and needed guidance to get us started and keep us on track. I’m having a hard time putting into words just how helpful she was, so being that brides will be reading this review let me tell you some of the things she did that really stuck out in my head: she comprised a spreadsheet of venues with many of the specifics we were looking for, scheduled appointments, looked over contracts to ensure and protect us, formatted menus, programs, etc. and helped me print them til 11 PM!, pulled us in when we needed pulling in (thank God she talked us out of breakdancers! lol), responded to emails and phone calls extremely promptly (this was SO helpful to me, sometimes I feel like went back and forth about 20 times), helped us stay within budget, accompanied us on site visits which was particularly helpful when choosing vendors and picking flowers, provided “Day of” services which really helped keep myself and the bridal party on-time and troubleshoot the “problems” that inevitably arise (although I thought my anal-retentive planning skills could outdo any mishap, no matter how diligently I planned, things happened, and our special day I felt SO much better knowing I had a highly-skilled professional dealing with them other than a friend/family member — it’s your wedding day!), met face-to-face with us every few months just to make sure we were all on the same page, she listened to what WE wanted and took our ideas and put a creative, personalized twist on them to make them extra special and believe me our guests noticed…

I really hope you get the idea of how helpful her talent, professionalism, honesty, guidance, support and services were to us! She took the stress and tears out of wedding planning and really helped us keep it fun! Everyone at our wedding said how polished, personal and creative everything was, which was SO nice to hear because that told us all of our hard work was recognized and had paid off.

Laura, thank you for helping to make our day ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

The wedding is done…my clients seemed really happy…so check out the new review written by my recent wedding client.

Working with Laura was a pleasure! I hired her for DOC services, but she was extremely responsive long before the day of, and was just a pleasure to have as a sounding board and a calming presence. I booked with Laura after speaking with many DOCs. Her rates were reasonable but beyond that, she was the most flexible and most enthusiastic about the task. Leading up to the wedding, I appreciated having her to email, ask questions of, etc. Before the wedding, she worked up a very detailed schedule for the day of, and during the wedding, she coordinated vendors, the venue, and helped make some of my DIY visions come to life. I really appreciated having her come up with that detailed schedule–it was a lifesaver and she had really good ideas for how to order things during the reception.

Before I had booked her, some people had told me that because my venue provided a maitre’d and a bridal attendant, that a separate DOC was not necessary. False! Brides need someone there to keep their interests at heart, not just the interests of the venue. It took a big load off of my parents and my husband and bridal parties’ shoulders to have her there. She was great and I appreciated her calming presence and her help very much!

It makes me feel tremendously proud when my clients are happy with the services I provide. It’s a real pleasure to do what I do & more importantly a big passion of mine. Stay tuned for a board on their wedding!

VOW.Wedding.Consulting.Diary

I wanted to apologize to my readers for not keeping on top of the posts recently…as you all may know June is High Wedding Season & I’ve not only been working on a few weddings for this month {one of which I’ve been working on for over a year}, but I also traveled to Spain. I would have loved to visit these venues {http://wevowtoinspire.com/2010/02/11/weddings-in-spain/} but with going from Barcelona to up north on the French border, then out to Madrid all in 5 days…I didn’t see a slot to fit a site tour this go around…but it was lovely nonetheless.

On my travels I started thinking about enhancing my blog…maybe I don’t have time to create beautifully pictured posts & visual boards…but I can keep my readers up to speed on my thoughts & process while I plan weddings for my clients…I can bring you all into my world…I can give you a view of some of the “Day in the Life of a Wedding Planner” visuals…

So starting today…with a wedding that I’m doing tomorrow…I will start my VOW Diary Entries. I’m not only a blogger but I started & run my own Wedding Planning Company called VOW Wedding Consulting, of which I am very proud of having started & built a great reputation for.

Tomorrow I have a wedding for my clients Jennifer & Gene at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. I was there last night and saw the grounds. They were stunning & they have made some incredible improvements. Beautifully LED lit pool & waterfalls, new stone on the terrace & Thomas Reitano is by far one of THE best Event Managers I’ve had the pleasure working with {and for my fellow Wedding Planners out there, we all know how difficult & uncooperative they can be sometimes, especially when a client comes in with their “own” wedding planner}. So I’m really looking forward to working this event tomorrow.

The bride & groom are just absolutely lovely & been a pleasure to work with. And it will also be my first experience with a Korean Ceremony {Paebek}. The couple has done a few DIY projects for this wedding & they came out looking like they were done by a professional, quite stunning actually. {custom tags for their favors, DIY Reception Menus, ceremony programs & an incredible escort table set up – pictures will be posted after the event are just a few}

As always, I take tons of pictures of the event so that as soon as I get home, I edit them & create an Online Photo Album for my clients to view immediately after the wedding {it’s something nice to look at & get a taste of prior to getting your final professional shots, but I think I do a decent job capturing the details if I do say so myself}.

So stay tuned to my “VOW.Diary” Entries, along with the regular posts & finds…Pictures of the event will come this weekend! Hope you all look forward to getting a closer & more inside look into my world..whether it be pertaining to outside information or a deeper look into me! Enjoy!

Simply.Short.Chic

The newest trend…sassy…chic…and short! I came to love this new trend more & more as I visited one of my favorite wedding dress designers…Priscilla of Boston.

There is such attention to detail to the dresses & every year I feel like the dresses reinvent themselves providing the bride with a fresh new look & start! I just wanted to feature some of my favorite wedding dresses from the site.

{wedding dresses: priscilla of boston}

So you have the dress…now what to pair it with?…Personally, stylistically I would pair it with bright & bold shoes, sends that pop to the dress.

Just a few more minor details & you are ready to walk down the isle…Another new trend is birdcage veils…I simply adore them & think they look great coupled with short wedding dresses.

So there you have it, a complete look that I would recommend for my brides…and actually myself!

Weddings.In.Spain

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am when I received an email from a Company called Romantica…they are an exclusive destination wedding planning Company that plans ceremonies & receptions in….SPAIN!!! {most importantly they’ve been doing this for 17 years so you know they will offer the most amazing locations to hold your wedding}…

So their venues are all located in Spain…places such as Madrid & Barcelona…incredible baroque palaces…a medieval castle…a beautiful & quaint country house…or a warm & inviting Cortijo close to the beach!

The venues are not only perfect for ceremonies & receptions…but your guests can stay there too…thus allowing for a truly intimate destination wedding experience not only for you & your partner…but for family & friend!

So if you want to plan something different for your wedding…why not try a destination wedding at one of these incredible venues…

I was looking at some of their venues & had to create a collage of some of the places that I could dream of getting married in! Check them out. They are absolutely stunning…
